Edit the notes

Each letter is a note; C D E F G A B are the octave starting at middle C, lowercase c d e… the octave above. Add , to go an octave down or ' to go up. The number after a note is its length: with L:1/4, A is a quarter, A2 a half, A3 a dotted half, A/ an eighth. z is a rest, ^ sharp, _ flat, = natural, | a bar line, and - ties to the next note. T: is the title, K:G the key, M:3/4 the time signature and Q:1/4=100 the starting tempo.

Play and stop with the space bar or a page-turner pedal (Page Down / Page Up); on a touch screen, tap the score. The page address always holds the current notes and settings, so Copy link shares exactly what you see.

Custom sound libraries use the MIDI.js soundfont format: the URL is a folder holding <instrument>-mp3.js files named like trumpet-mp3.js, served over HTTPS with CORS allowed.
